Weddings at Saint John Nepomucene Parish

CHURCH REQUIREMENTS FOR MARRIAGE

  • Original Copy of Baptismal Certificate (issued not later than six months before the wedding) with specification for MARRIAGE PURPOSES only. Valid up to 4 Months from its date of issue.

  • Original Copy of Confirmation Certificate or Kumpil stamped by the issuing church for MARRIAGE PURPOSES only. Valid up to 4 Months from its date of issue.

  • Original Copy of Birth Certificate from the Philippine Statistic Authority(PSA). Valid up to 4 Months from its date of issue.

  • ID Pictures: 2 Copies of 1x1 Colored & Recent Picture

  • Canonical Interview/ Confession/ Confirmation (If Needed)

  • Pre-Cana Seminar : Every Last Saturday of the Month (once only) from 9:00 am to 12:00 nn. They are allowed to attend the seminar in other parishes: Discovery Weekend or Catholic Engaged Encounter are also accepted provided with a Certificate of Attendance issued by the parish personnel where they attended the seminar.

  • Marriage Banns : are public announcements of the incoming marriage. The banns should be posted or announce for 3 Consecutive Weeks at the Church Bulletin of their respective parishes and the permission from the Groom and Bride's Parish Priest request for the permission will be issued by the Parish Secretary (St. John Nepomucene Parish) together with the Marriage banns. Do not be surprised if you will be charged a certain amount for permission, which depends on the policy of your parish.

  • Marriage License: apply for the license preferably at your Local Municipality 2 Months before the Wedding. For Civilly Married, please submit the Original Copy of Marriage Contract from PSA. Note: Marriage License is valid for 120 days only

  • List of Principal Sponsors : please submit a copy of Complete Full Name of Sponsors a month before the wedding date. Strictly, we will not entertain changes once certificate of marriage has be printed.

  • Review of Marriage Contract: The Parish Office will not be held liable fo any mistake, if the couple failed in the review of the Certificate of Marriage.

**ADDTIONAL REQUIREMENT (Case-to-Case Basis):

  • For Foreigners : submit an affidavit of legal capacity to contract marriage (if not civilly married) from their respective Embassies in the Philippines or Certificate from DFA (If they don't have Embassy here in the Philippines).

  • For Mixed Marriage: A Promise and Declaration form to be filled in the Parish Office during the Canonical Interview to be submitted to the Diocese of Imus - Chancery Office for approval.

  • For Divorced or Annulled: Please submit a copy of the Official Church Declaration of Nullity of the previous Marriage.

  • For Widow or Widower: Please submit a PSA Copy of Death Certificate of the deceased spouse.

PARISH INCLUSIONS

  • Use of the Parish Church for the Sacrament of Marriage and 30 minutes for picture taking.

  • Availability of Church Ushers and Staff (Commentator and Readers) if needed

  • Church Lightings, Sound System and Usage of the Microphones.

  • Wedding Chairs with kneeler for the couple and both parents

  • Five Pairs of flower stands (if needed)

  • Quadruplicate copy of Marriage Contract and Civil Registration of Marrigae Contract

To be Provided by the Couple:

  • Catholic Bible, Arrhae, Cord, Veil, Nuptial Candles & 2 Candles to be used to light the Nuptial Candles

  • Floral Arrangement for the Church and Altar, Naive and Entourage

  • Photographer

  • Choir

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Reservations must be made 6 months before the wedding date.

  • 50% down payment is required upon booking.

  • Wedding date will only allow to re-schedule for 1 time only with valid and acceptable reasons. The Parish will no longer entertain you especially if the chosen re-scheduled date were already booked.

  • All Necessary Documents should be submitted at least 4 months prior the wedding date except for the Marriage License.

  • All Wedding dues should be settled at least 4 months prior the wedding date.

  • Guest Priest who is invited to solemnize the wedding must present his "Celebret" (a document that guarantees his good standing in his Diocese) and a Photocopy of the Certificate of Renewal of Registration and Authority to Solemnize Marriage (CRASM). Please Notify the Parish Office at least 2 Months before the Wedding

  • No need to hire your own wedding coordinators for the church during the wedding day. The Whole Ceremony will be assisted by the Church Staff.

  • For those who have their Wedding Coordinator, the Coordinator must submit an ID at the Parish Office and a guidelines should also discuss to them.

  • If you have your own Mass Guide, Please Submit to the Parish Office a Month before the wedding date for APPROVAL.

  • The Ceremony will START EXACTLY at the scheduled time, the whole entourage should assemble at least 10 minutes before the schedules time. Ceremonies may have to be shortened if you arrived and started late.

  • Respect the Eucharist Celebration by dressing appropriately

  • Photographers are NOT ALLOWED within the Sanctuary (Altar) of the Church during the Sacrament.

  • Showering of flowers, rice, confetti, party poppers, bubles, etc is NOT ALLOWED inside and outside the church.

  • Closing of the Church Doors are Not Allowed in the Parish

  • Request may be made thru the Parish Secretary regarding additional needs that will make the ceremony more meaningful.

  • LOVE SONGS are Not Allowed to be sung throughout the wedding rites. It should be only an Instrumental Music.
